Volunteer

As a small non-profit, Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz always has projects waiting for our attention. Perhaps you have some free time that you might want to spend with us.

Here are some of the ways you can make a difference…

EVENT HELP – Volunteers play a critical role in making our events happen. You can usher, sell tickets, greet audience members, or help with setup/strike. Get a behind-the-scenes look at our operations!

HISTORIAN – Sift through our cache of books, scrapbooks, and other assorted paperwork to make these materials accessible to our members and the public.

MUSIC LIBRARIAN – Over the years, many donors have kindly gifted us CDs and vinyl. Their generosity has started to overwhelm us! We need an individual who doesn't mind a little dust and can do some lifting to organize and alphabetize so that we (and others) can keep tabs on what we have. Ongoing…come in to tidy up from time to time.

SALESPERSON – We know that these albums could be sold to raise money for CPFJ, but we need someone to research value, photograph, and decide the best way to sell these items. Ongoing…this is going to take some time, but we're not in a big hurry!

We are happy to provide volunteer opportunities to students looking to fulfill community service requirements.

Have another interest or skill that you think might help us? Please let us know!

We treat our volunteers very well and always welcome new faces in the office. If any of these positions appeal to you, contact office manager Sheila Ross at sheilaross@friendsofjazz.org or (717) 540-1010.
