Lucy Yeghiazaryan - 6pm

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17102
United States [map]
Price: $25 | $22 CPFJ friends | $10 students

Lucy Yeghiazaryan was born in Armenia and immigrated to United States in 2001. As a child she studied classical violin and took an initial interest in singing as a result of her father's love for jazz. Since immigrating, Lucy has been an active member of the New York, New Jersey jazz community. The uncommon fusion of a more Eastern oriented style of singing, and traditional jazz creates an undeniably distinct sound that immediately captivates the listener regardless of cultural background. The intricacies and heart of both are equally native to Lucy and are expressed most honestly and soulfully in performance. Her repertoire is extremely versatile and includes unknown and scarcely recorded jazz, blues, sharakan and Latin compositions. She was the house singer of the National Armenian Jazz Orchestra for the 2013-2014 season and was a semifinalist in the prestigious International Monk Jazz Competition in 2014.

Lucy released her debut album, Blue Heaven, in July 2019.
